After three phone calls, he finally received a text saying his package had been “delivered to a safe place.” That safe place? Behind his neighbour’s rubbish bins—two doors down! When he found it, the box was soaking wet and the ignition was ruined.
So when I needed to send an air fryer to my sister in Auckland as a wedding gift, I knew I couldn’t afford the same hassle. I roped in the rest of the Top Reviews writing team and looked for a Tauranga courier service that’s actually reliable and efficient.

Post Haste Couriers’ Saturday delivery service is a real lifesaver for busy people who can’t always be home during the standard Monday-to-Friday window.
Their managed reverse logistics also deserves a mention, as they make it much easier for businesses to handle returns or transfer goods to third parties.
We love how they have nationwide overnight delivery too and their online booking tool is a convenient way to arrange pickups when your parcel is ready to go.
However, the actual delivery experience can be hit or miss. Many told us their parcels were marked as “delivered” when they were still in transit—or, in some cases, missing entirely. Other customers reported delays of up to three extra days.
On the positive side though, Post Haste’s team is generally friendly and courteous. All the agents we spoke to were courteous.

We love their express 90-minute and 1-hour deliveries between Tauranga and Mt. Maunganui. Their same-day delivery is also well-organised: you can request pickups from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 1 pm, with deliveries happening by 5 pm.
We found this setup is perfect for those needing to move goods quickly within the region.

That said, some complained about their local deliveries sitting in distribution for up to 5-10 business days.

We love Aramex Tauranga’s Parcel Connect service, which gives customers the flexibility to collect parcels from over 200 locations.
They make it so convenient too—all you do is purchase a label online, print it, and drop off the parcel. After that, they’ll handle everything.
Additionally, Aramex Connect is a hit with businesses. They provide a self-service platform for electronic label consigning that simplifies freight dispatch.
Their redelivery option is also appreciated and handy when you’re not home, but that’s if you’re lucky enough to get a notification in the first place.
Some customers told us they didn’t receive a notification when their package was out for redelivery.
