Maximum Wash’s deck cleaning service seems solid. Most of the customers we talked to mentioned how thorough and careful the team is, especially with timber decks.

We also like that they avoid harsh blasting methods that could damage delicate wood or composite materials. It shows that they really care for the surfaces they clean.

For anyone with pets or plants around, they’re also a smart choice since they use biodegradable and eco-friendly products. We really appreciate that they’re not just about cleaning well but also doing it responsibly.

Their pricing is competitive and reasonable. Baz and his team also get good reviews for being easy to communicate with and offering options that fit their customers’ needs. 

They offer packages that combine different cleaning services, like house washing, gutter cleaning, or driveway washing. This could be a great way to get a whole outdoor cleaning at a better price if you’re looking to cover multiple areas.

That said, one customer did mention that the team didn’t show up on the scheduled day and didn’t tell him why. This is an area they should definitely improve. Clear communication on the day of the job is important to avoid frustrating customers.

The House & Building Wash Company Ltd is one of the largest exterior cleaning companies in the region, and it shows in their service offerings.

Aside from deck cleaning, they also do roof and gutter cleaning, window washing, and even deck treatments. It’s often bundled into a single visit, which we think is a great option for those who want to tick off multiple cleaning jobs at once.

There’s also no denying the positive feedback from the customers we’ve spoken to. One person told us they had both their own and their parents’ decks cleaned, and were surprised by how fresh everything looked.

They even mentioned the stairs were included without needing to ask. It’s a small detail, but it shows they pay attention to detail and don’t just rush through the job.

Many people also said the team is great at communicating. It’s encouraging, especially with home services where scheduling and follow-up can sometimes be frustrating.

However, we did come across one experience from a customer who had their garden damaged during a house wash. They said the chemicals affected their rare cacti and landscaping.

If you have delicate or valuable plants around your home, it might be a good idea to ask in advance what products will be used.

Tailored Property Services’ strongest strength is how personalised their process is. They start by inspecting what kind of material the deck’s made from and how dirty or worn it is. Then they choose the best cleaning method based on what they find. 

It might sound like a small thing, but it actually helps prevent damage, especially with timber decks. 

We’ve seen other companies just use high-pressure washing on everything. Sure, it gets the job done quickly, but it can wear down the surface and cause damage over time.

We’re also impressed with how well they understand different deck materials. They use the right products and adjust the pressure to suit each type. 

They also offer the convenience of being able to combine multiple services. A customer we spoke to mentioned how the team cleaned everything from their wooden deck to the underside of the clear roof cover, and even their gutters.

We also like that they actually give advice to their clients on how to keep their decks in good shape. They even suggest a cleaning schedule to help them avoid bigger problems.  

That said, if you’re looking to compare prices quickly, it might take a while for them to give you that. You’d have to ask for a quote first, but the good news is it’s free.

What makes SoClean Exterior Wash unique for us is its soft washing method. It’s a gentler alternative to traditional high-pressure washing. This technique is combined with special cleaning products that remove mould, algae, and dirt without hurting your deck.

We liked it because it’s helpful for wooden or composite decks, which can be easily damaged by strong water jets. Plus, because the soft wash also kills mould spores, it helps keep your deck cleaner for longer. 

Also, when they clean a deck, they don’t just stop there. They also wash surrounding surfaces like soffits, gutters, and window frames. We appreciate this thoughtful touch.

One customer even mentioned that Luis, one of their cleaners, cleaned parts of his pergola without being asked. It just says a lot about how proactive the team is.

We also heard from several customers that they were responsive and friendly. It made their experiences with them feel more personal and less transactional. We think that matters since these people work closely around your home. 

That said, compared to other companies we looked into, their prices are a little higher. But we do think they’re a great choice if you want to prioritise the long-term health of your deck rather than just a quick surface clean.

Our team recently looked into House Wash New Zealand Ltd, and they seem like a good choice if you want professional results without damaging your outdoor space. 

They have a smart cleaning method. Instead of blasting everything with high pressure, they adjust the pressure depending on the material. It’s a more careful, customised approach that helps protect the deck while still getting it properly cleaned.

We also liked that they use eco-friendly cleaning products. Their solutions are safe for kids, pets, and plants. It’s great if you have a family or a garden. They also include a mould inhibitor in their treatment to help stop mould and algae from growing.

Beyond just cleaning, we’ve heard that they also bring decks back to life by restoring their natural colour and prepping them for staining or sealing.

It’s pretty useful if you’re planning to refresh your outdoor area. It saves time and helps the new finish stick better.

However, we also found their prices a bit steeper than the other companies. Still, we think they’re worth it since we haven’t really heard any bad feedback against them, and their service seems to be really good.
