Hamilton Dental is best known in the area for its emergency dental care services. Located in Waikato, the clinic’s 60 years of experience is a major draw. It’s a reputable choice for procedures, like dental implants.

What we like most is how comprehensive their assessment is. Procedures involve full jaw assessments and digital scans done on-site, ensuring accurate placements and better control of outcomes.

The customer service can be quite inconsistent, with front-desk staff appearing to look inattentive at times. As a redeeming factor, though, the professionals who will work with you are accommodating and friendly at every stage.

In terms of prices, we liked that they’re competitive with their rates. They also offer ACC-covered treatments, as well as WINZ quotes (as with any other procedure, these are subject to approval).

2. Hamilton Dental Centre

For those who value personalised treatments with professionals who are pleasant to work with, we think you can’t go wrong with Hamilton Dental Centre.

The clients we interviewed all agree on one thing: their bedside manner is very upbeat, which immediately puts clients at ease. Discussions feel casual but are still comprehensive, breaking down timeliness and expectations.

We just found that they have a slight tendency to suggest other treatments while you’re there. As with any other option, we recommend not pushing through with anything without a second opinion.

We still find them commendable in practice, though. They provide high attention to post-operative care. Clients can easily reach them for any inquiries and concerns, which we find reassuring.

The implants themselves are expensive, so it’s definitely useful that they enable interest-free payments from 3 to 24 months via Q Mastercard.

3. Hamilton Mountain Dental Group

Hamilton Mountain Dental Group has been the go-to spot for many families. Offering services for all ages, they’re convenient and accessible for routine checkups and more complex surgical implants.

Speaking of which, our team liked how thorough every stage is. They have a solid healing period of about 3 months before placing the final crown. This ensures that the implant integrates with the jaw, leading to satisfactory results.

Even the consultation is as complete as it can be. X-rays and photographs are taken to properly explain the case to each patient. We favour how this helps with realistic expectations and addresses any concerns patients may have.

The only downside, as noted by a few of our members, is that they were placed on hold for over 5 minutes for a simple booking. According to most clients, this isn’t typically the case, but little improvements will definitely make things better.

4. Century Stone Dental

When it comes to quality patient care, Century Stone is among those that rank highly in our books. During multiple visits, they were consistently welcoming and friendly, making us feel at ease immediately.

Their process is also pretty straightforward with solid support from beginning to end. Their post-operative care alone is a standout, wherein their team sends follow-up texts to check up on the patient’s healing process.

Unfortunately, not all cases are successful. A few clients reported that they felt like their issues were dismissed. We recommend opening up to their dentists more to really get into the root of the issue.

On the good side, they have some of the most advanced equipment we’ve encountered, including CEREC cams and VELscope systems. This assures us that they can carry out accurate diagnoses and implant placements.

5. Downtown Dental of Hamilton

Downtown Dental has all the conveniences we were looking for in a dental clinic. The place itself is very accessible, with plenty of free on-site parking and proximity to public transit options.

Their financing program is also among the best we’ve encountered. Patients can start immediately and pay over time, with options as low as 0% interest.

Application for financing can be easily done online or via SMS enrollment. However, like most financing options, terms are still subject to approval.

As for the surgery process itself, they met all the things we were looking for. They have an in-depth assessment, as well as ample time dedicated to healing before placing the tooth. 

The only recurring issue we saw was that appointment scheduling can be a hassle. A few of our team members experienced multiple cancellations even on free slots. Improvements here would definitely take things up.
