How much does a facial cost in Christchurch?
1. Lovoir Day Spa Christchurch

Lovoir Day Spa is a long-time favourite in Christchurch. We liked that their facials always start with a consultation, which is in-depth enough to cover skin goals and manage expectations.
As for the services, their indulgent facial is one of the best offerings. This one is comprehensive, including deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, massage, and hydration. At $149, we find it fairly priced too, compared to what clients get.
Ambience played a major part in the overall client experience too. Their clinic is clean, modern, and quietly elegant – from the reception to the treatment rooms. It’s no surprise that most clients book this place for group treatments.
Appointment, however, can be a challenge if you’re doing weekend or group bookings. It can often require 2 to 3 weeks in advance. Once you push through, though, we find the rest of the experience to be seamless and attentive.
Many first-time clients appreciate that their professionals often suggest additional or supplementary treatments to what was originally booked. However, we do want to note that this will feel like upselling pressure to other customers.

2. Nicola Quinn Beauty & Day Spa

Tucked into the Merivale neighborhood, this high-end spa offers an inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk in. It has a nice ambience, which is owed to their plush decor, calming music, and high level of cleanliness in every space.
According to the patrons we spoke with, the facials are always tailored to their concerns, which usually revolved around dryness and dryness. They also revealed that the results always come as soon as one treatment alone.
Their facial menu includes the O Cosmedics facial, which is among their most popular options. This is often chosen for deep hydration and rejuvenation that’s ideal for first-timers,
For more in-depth services, though, we prefer their indulgence package. It’s naturally expensive, but we still find it fair. Clients can already enjoy 2.5 hours of treatment, including facial, massage, and even a post-treatment platter.
The only thing we didn’t like was their price adjustment policy, which affects clients trying to get discounts from promotions. We recommend using promotions like gift vouchers as soon as you possibly can to avoid them being void.
Overall relaxing experience

3. Beauty at the Vale

What we liked about Beauty at the Vale is that their facial offerings are flexible and designed around the client’s needs. Rather than pushing pre-set routines, their team tailors each facial after a 15-minute consultation.
We like the level of options available to clients, with the ability to choose from 45-, 60-, or 75-minute sessions. At prices that range from $149 to $209, we find that the value matches the quality of service and inclusions.
Each session includes a double cleanse, enzyme exfoliation, decolletage, and facial massage. What’s even better is that clients can choose based on their level of comfort, availability, and budget.
Apart from this, they also have advanced offerings such as Osmosis Revitapen facials and Dermalux LED treatment. According to loyal patrons, the results are visible after one treatment, with zero downtime after treatments too.
Just be advised that certain services like these advanced offerings can feel overpriced when compared to other clinics.
Absolutely amazing experience
“I had Shayla for a massage, facial and pedicure which was part of a Mother’s Day Promo and she was absolutely amazing! First massage that has made me go to sleep in the most luxurious room! Love the products they use and Shayla definitely made you feel like you were a valued customer. Thank you! I will be back again”

4. Embrace Skin & Beauty

We’re happy to note that Embrace offers a solid variety of skin treatments. From collagen-infused facials to high-end combination services, they’re a great one-stop shop for those who want to stick to a single clinic for everything.
What earned our favour best is the level of personalisation they offer in each procedure. Through consultations, we can tell that their staff have solid skincare knowledge, offering treatment suggestions without pushy upselling.
Another noteworthy factor is the attention to detail when it comes to client experience. The spa beds were super comfortable with soft linens and calming aromas that filled the room. Even the staff’s tone when speaking makes things feel elevated.
The prices for services vary, though we see how they somehow lean towards the pricier side for certain treatments. The value for money is there, though, and their most popular treatments really won’t break the bank.
To enjoy their services, we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance, especially if you’re eyeing a weekend spot. They’re not the most convenient when it comes to short notices, so early planning is a smart move.
Amazing experience from start to end
“I booked a Environ Vitamin Infusion Facial with Jess. An amazing experience from beginning to end. Loved every minute of it ( especially the face , neck and shoulder massage at the end). Thank you Jess.”

Best experience ever
“I had the best experience for my facial after a very very long time. Been around different providers for over a decade in Christchurch. I must say Becci did an amazing brilliant job with my facial treatment. The whole process was amazing. Worth the price. Can’t fault it at all. After an exhausting week, a busy schedule or just a treat, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Embrace. Keep up the amazing service. And thank you Becci 😊 ❤️”

5. Acacia Beauty

Similar to most clinics, it’s the range of personalised offerings that drew us into Acacia Beauty too. For starters, they have the bespoke facial (their most popular). This already includes a deep cleanse, exfoliation, steam, mask, and massage.
The best part is that the price isn’t crazy expensive at $139 for 60 minutes. On top of that, we can say the results are worth it too – clients seemed to leave with visibly brighter skin. They told us that they felt deeply relaxed as well.
The clinic is also a fantastic spot for busy professionals who need a quick yet effective refresh. They achieve this through their quick pick-me-up facial for 40 minutes at $89. Even though the session is short, the results are just as impressive.
Another aspect we loved was how services often include small add-ons, including back rubs, hand massages, or eyebrow tinting. Bookings are also made easy with reminders, and gift vouchers are available for those looking for a nice gift.
We just happen to meet clients who aren’t 100% satisfied with their services, saying the results weren’t up to par. However, we don’t consider this as inconsistencies with results, considering the complaint doesn’t represent the majority of the testimonies.
Friendly staff and amazing products
“absolute gem of a place! The staff here are so friendly, could not have been more welcoming. I had the bespoke facial, the salon is gorgeous – the products used smelt amazing and I left with my skin never having felt so soft. Cannot recommend this place enough :)”
