5 Best Facial Clinics in Hamilton I’d Actually Book a Second Time
Hamilton is best known for its falls, steel roots, and hidden food gems, but let’s talk about something skin deep – where do the locals go when they want to glow as brightly as the sun?
After testing the city’s top-rated stops and chatting with regulars who know their serums and scrubs, we found the best facial spas for the ultimate skin transformation.
Whether you’re prepping for an event or just need a little self-care moment, here are the only spas worth booking once – or twice!
How much do facials cost in Hamilton?
1. The Skin Spa

Services at The Skin Spa are straightforward, which we liked. Their range of services includes micro-treatments, as well as advanced facials that are personalised based on the skin condition.
Their signature facial is among their most popular offerings. According to the clients we spoke to, this option is perfect for those who want the ultimate experience. Our team member confirmed this by noting how the procedure made them fall asleep.
The consultation, though not part of a facial package, is in-depth enough to explore a client’s goals and needs. For $60, it’s a great introduction to what they can offer, without fully committing to a full facial service.
As for add-ons, we liked the variety of skin boosters they gave, including eye-intensive touches for $35. This allows clients to consider target solutions to improve certain areas of the face.
While we find their staff generally knowledgeable, we did notice that communication of product recommendations can be hit or miss. We wanted to see them explain the products more, which would be helpful to first-timers.
Most wonderful experience
“I had a facial from Rachel last week and it was the most wonderful relaxing experience I’ve had. She was super helpful with products and what would work best for my skin. I will definitely be back and telling all my friends about this place! Keep it up”

Passionate about their approach
“Amazing facial with Kim! I had the Heart Centre Signature Facial and it was absolutely incredible. Almost fell asleep I was so relaxed. This is a very special facial and would book it again many times over”

2. Nature’s Spa NZ

We find Nature’s Spa to be a great choice for clients who want to relax without breaking the bank. They’re known in the area for their affordable skincare solutions, with facial treatments that don’t go over the city’s average prices.
The diverse selection of facial treatments impressed us, with options for every skin type and concern. Basic options include basic hydrating and anti-aging facials, while more advanced packages include acne-specific ozone plasma treatments.
Their peels are also noteworthy, as they’re popular among their patrons for acne, pigmentation, and achieving a “glass-skin” look in general. The post-care guidance for these options is extremely detailed too, which we favour.
Although walk-ins are pretty much impossible here, bookings are easy via their Facebook page and website. Availability is okay, so you don’t have to wait weeks just to secure a spot.
We just want to note that their procedures could use stricter safety measures – a client told us that there were issues with eye protection during a laser treatment. However, this is an isolated case, and the general consensus is that the experience is pleasant.
Affordable and high-quality service
“Nature’s Spa is such a great clinic. I love getting my facials and other services here. I’ve been to a few clinics in Hamilton & this one has been the best so far. Super affordable with high quality products and services. My go to clinic for all my self care needs. Thanks Jay you are amazing 👏 ❤”

Incredible attention to detail
“I had the most incredible experience with Jay-ar and Jelian! Their expertise and attention to detail during my facial were unmatched. Not only did my skin feel rejuvenated, but I also felt completely relaxed throughout the entire session that’s why I keep coming back every fortnight. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch skincare treatments!
Thank you, Jay-ar and team!”

3. Skin Depot

One of the key things we observed with Skin Depot is that clients all agree that the sessions lead them to immediately visible results. Key improvements they noted include smoother skin texture, improved hydration, and a nice glow.
We appreciate that each session comes with a skin chat consultation, a welcome refreshment, and progress photos. This is usually a separate service from others, so we definitely loved the value for money.
Facials range from 60 to 90 minutes and are priced based on time rather than a fixed menu. This keeps things simple, which we find beneficial for first-timers, but may be a little underwhelming for beauty enthusiasts.
The level of service is solid too – apart from the solid communication, we also liked the cosy heated beds in the treatment rooms. The overall ambiance feels relaxing and definitely not clinical.
The only downside is that booking an appointment, especially last-minute, can be challenging. We recommend securing a slot at least 2 weeks in advance, particularly if you have an event planned.
Pros:
- Advanced treatment plans available
- Personalised facials
- Charged by time
- Reasonable pricing
- Skin chat consultation in every session
- Heated treatment beds
- Tailored skin home care plans
- No package pre-sales
- Immediate results
- Solid communication and demeanor
Cons:
- Difficult to book last-minute
- Limited availability
Very knowledgeable and fast results
“Best facial I’ve ever had! Laura was referred to me by a friend which I am so happy about. She has an incredible amount of knowledge and I’ve already started seeing results. Can’t wait for my next one.”

Good non-intrusive results
“First facial in forever and my skin has literally never felt this good. Laura gave me a plan for my skin that fitted my lifestyle which means no lengthy rituals needed but still appropriate to see changes. Thank you xx”

4. The Darling Room

The Darling Room got our attention with its thoughtfully curated facial studio. It has offerings that span from holistic, botanical facials to advanced skin treatments.
What stood out immediately was how they managed to elevate the client journey. With herbal steam, warm compresses, and fragrant oils, the entire thing feels like a sensory experience.
We really loved their lineup of Janesce facials, which are rooted in plant-based skincare. These ones feature a botanical cleanse, enzyme peel, herbal steam, and eye and neck draining massage.
But if we have to pick the ultimate facial, we have to go for their Luxury Slow Beauty experience. At $200 for 100 minutes, the treatment feels like a complete recalibration. Clients can enjoy exfoliation, warm stone massage, and oxygenating masks.
The customer service is great as well. Clients we talked to praised the therapists for being friendly, polite, and proactive with recommendations. Plus, the results are always visible, so they know they’re in good hands.
However, we’d just like to note that while the results are good, they’re not always as consistent as expected. We did meet a few clients who weren’t satisfied with the outcome. Nonetheless, the majority agrees that the service is top-notch.
Amazing job
“Would recommend! Tamara done such an amazing job on my lashes and brows. Every person I interacted with was super lovely, inviting and made me feel comfortable. I walked out of there feeling more confident and relaxed then I’ve felt in a really long time”

Relaxing facial and massage
“A very lovely and relaxing facial and massage. I had Anna and she was totally understanding and very clear. It was such an amazing experience.”

5. Oriental Relaxation & Beauty Spa

Oriental Relaxation & Beauty Spa is one of those places that are versatile and pack value in their offerings. In fact, guests are able to blend multiple services here into generous time blocks at competitive prices.
The range of facial treatments is also impressive. Basic options include their Meridian facial massage, which costs $80 for 60 minutes. But for a more well-rounded service, we find the Oriental firming facial to be a better choice.
The latter includes a steam, extraction, and massage, plus a skin-type-specific mask. At only $100 for 90 minutes, we see it as a service worth every penny.
What also earned our favour is how these facials are often paired with other services. Through their weekly and seasonal packages, clients can enjoy a full-body massage, scalp treatments, and even pedicures.
We also like to highlight that their facials are pregnancy-safe, so future moms are in good hands here, wherever they want a new glow.
If there’s a downside to note, it’s that the spa leans toward a more home-style atmosphere. It doesn’t have that high-end, luxury kind of vibe.
Excellent treatment at an excellent price
“My husband and I got a weekly special, which was 2.5 hours of BLISS! A massage, facial and hair treatment. Definitely coming back, it was an excellent treatment at an excellent price. Thank you Maya and Linda!”

So kind and friendly
“I truly just had the birthday & mother’s day, the time of my dreams! The mothers day package was pure bliss! Would highly highly recommend this business to anyone looking for massage or facial/hair treatment! Especially the technician I had for my hair & face! Amazing technique and so so kind and friendly!”
