5 Best Gift Baskets in Tauranga to Elevate Your Gift-Giving Skills
If there’s anything I love more than chocolates on Valentine’s Day, it’s a gift basket filled with my favourite snacks, wine, and maybe a bouquet of fresh flowers. Gift-giving (and receiving!) is my primary love language.
I’m lucky that there are a myriad of stores arranging gift baskets in Tauranga, with some of them offering luxury or gourmet goodies or themed baskets for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or graduation.
So, if you’re like me who loves giving (and receiving) gifts, here are my top store recommendations for gift baskets in Tauranga!

Pros
- Wide range of affordable gift basket options
- Specializes in custom gift baskets
Cons
- Some slow deliveries
- Doesn’t offer deliveries on weekends
I adore Bliss Baskets and Gifts for their diverse gift options that cater to small budgets. Whether I’m treating myself to their lavish $100 hampers or opting for the $30 to $50 range, they always deliver.
Once, I bought their “The Light of My Life” gift basket for $39, with an additional $15 for delivery. Though it only contained a scented candle, a heart cookie, and a chocolate bar, it brought a smile to my mother’s face on Valentine’s Day.
Once, I indulged in their custom gift basket for around $120. It was filled with scented candles, cheese, nuts, dried fruit, chocolate, candy, biscuits, shortbread, mints, and sparkling wine. With about 15 gifts in total, I found it well worth the price.
Delivery took longer than expected since they don’t offer weekend deliveries, which was disappointing. Still, I’d continue to order gift baskets from them, except for last-minute gifts.

Pros
- Offers sustainable/eco-friendly gift baskets
- Offers free shipping for gift baskets worth $180 to $500
Cons
- Long turnaround time for South Island and rural area deliveries
- Pricey gift baskets
If you don’t mind splurging a little more for a gift basket, I highly recommend getting one from Little Koha. It’s an online gift store that specialises in sustainable or eco-friendly gift baskets.
Founder Katie recognised the demand for eco-friendly gift options, partnering with local suppliers for zero-waste, plastic-free goodies.
I got the Indulgent Box featuring a reusable cup, coffee beans, shortbread, bath bombs, plant-based body wash, and organic chocolate.
I splurged on the Ultimate Gift box for $300, which included Moet champagne, hand-printed tea towels, organic hand wash, and toffee pretzels. It’s pricey, but those fancy drinks make it worth it!
Plus, the delivery fees are waived because my total bill exceeded the minimum value of $180. The delivery service was slow, as it took them about three days to get all my orders delivered, but everything arrived in one piece and intact with a nice box and bow!

Pros
- Offers free delivery to Tauranga
- Offers a wide range of gluten-free gift baskets
Cons
- Long turnaround time for rural deliveries
- No deliveries on weekends
Got a friend with a sensitive gut? Whenever my bestie needs a pick-me-up, I turn to Basket Creations for their special gluten-free gift baskets because she can only eat gluten-free food.
They offer the widest range of options compared to other stores, based on my experience.
I gave my friend the A Bit of Everything Gluten-Free Box, packed with salted caramel popcorn, cookies, chocolate bars, crisps, macaroons, and custard balls in a beautiful reusable rattan box. I loved that all the gluten-free items were locally sourced and organic.
I spent $106 in total, which is reasonable considering the generous amount of content, even though their individual prices aren’t the most budget-friendly in the market.
Basket Creations provides free delivery to Tauranga where my friend resides. However, my order missed the weekly cut-off, so I had to wait until the next Monday for delivery since they don’t operate on weekends.

Pros
- Charges a $10 flat delivery fee to all locations in New Zealand (including rural areas)
- Offers weekly instalment payment plans
Cons
- No same-day deliveries
- Pricey gift baskets
The Pressie Box is another online gift store that I recommend if you’re looking for gourmet gift baskets in Tauranga. By gourmet, I mean a basket filled with organic and artisanal food like herbs, olives, oat crackers, Camembert cheese, and more.
I like to order gourmet gift baskets from The Pressie Box for myself, but they’re also quite the impression maker when given as gifts!
My favourite is The Antipasto box, which includes all my favourite healthy snacks and bites like sun-dried tomatoes, dried fruit, fruit paste, lemongrass cashews, and more.
I also like that aside from The Antipasto, there are other themed gourmet baskets like the Gourmet Treats from New Zealand, the BBQ Lovers, A Morning Tea Shou!, and the Nibbles Deluxe.
However, they’re on the pricey side. My shopping cart often exceeds $200! Still, the quality of the contents and their flat delivery fee justify the cost.

Pros:
- Specialises in floral gift baskets
- Affordable delivery fee within Tauranga
Cons:
- Usually sold out
- Limited basket contents
For as long as I can remember, Cherrywood Florists has been serving Tauranga with the best locally sourced flowers. I’d drop by their store to get a fresh bouquet sometimes, but when I found out that they offered floral gift baskets, I wasted no time trying them out!
Their floral gift baskets come with a bouquet of fresh flowers and mostly body care items like lotions, hand creams, and soaps.
I got the Pamper Me! Gift basket (because their other bestsellers are sold out) which includes a beautiful pink and white bouquet of lilies and posies, a scented candle, hand and body cream, a shower steamer, chocolates, and a ceramic trinket tray.
I paid around $145 plus an extra $10 for delivery. For its price point, the contents were minimal, but at least the flowers came fresh, plump, and beautifully wrapped!
