My best friend showed up to brunch with lashes so tightly curled, she looked permanently startled for a week. Another friend, a self-confessed beauty daredevil, ended up with a mysterious glue mishap that left her blinking in Morse code for days. 

After all the frantic phone calls, emergency eye baths, and a vow to never trust a Groupon again—I got help from the rest of the Top Reviews writing team in looking into the best lash lifts in town. Here’s who made it on our list. 

1. Gigi Lash

Regulars told us it’s such an easy process and lasts for ages. We agree: it’s quick and fuss-free. From the lashes we’ve seen, it’s also to see why the clients get compliments.

Gigi Lash also makes things super convenient when it comes to payments. Whether you prefer Afterpay, cash, or Eftpos, they’ve got you covered. 

One thing to keep in mind, though: a few people with very straight or fine lashes have noticed the results don’t always last the full 8 weeks.

As a mobile beauty and massage service in Christchurch, Mojo Beauty brings the salon to you. We found it a super convenient option for those with busy schedules or anyone who prefers a private, relaxed setting.

For lashes, we appreciate that Mojo Beauty uses the latest iCurl® Eyelash perming device. It’s designed to fit all eye shapes and reach even the tiniest lashes. With four different sizes, you can customise your curl for a natural or more dramatic look. 

A lash lift and tint combo is just $70 and lasts 6–8 weeks. For those who want just a lash lift, it’s only $50.

If you want to go all out, the lash lift and brow lamination combo is a good deal. It already includes a lash lift, tint, brow lift and shape tint for $140. 

Or, for the ultimate makeover, the Mojo Complete Refresh Pamper ($175) adds brow lamination to the mix and takes 1.5 hours. 

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that last-minute appointments are hard to secure.

3. Lady Lash Studio and Academy 

Lady Lash Studio and Academy offers a lash lift service that really delivers. They use a 3-step system to lift, curl, set, and nourish your lashes. The results are impressive, lasting up to 10 weeks!.

The price is $125 for a lift with a tint, or $120 if you skip the tint. It’s a bit high, but we think it’s reasonable for the quality of the service.

We love that the appointments are quick and easy. Booking is pretty simple too.

However, if you’re a new client, just know you’ll need to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit when you book. If you cancel within 48 hours, there’s a $50 fee. Some people have found these policies a bit strict, which we have to agree.

The salon itself is intimate, which is nice, but you have to come alone (no kids or friends), which could be a downside if you usually bring someone along.

4. Lovoir Day Spa 

Lovoir Day Spa’s lash lift and tint is $115, for gorgeous curled lashes that last an impressive 10 weeks. Many regulars just pop in for a quick tint between full treatments to keep their lashes looking fabulous around the clock.

We were impressed by the spa’s calming atmosphere when we stepped in. It’s the kind of spa that helps you unwind instantly. Plus, the technicians really know what they’re doing. They’re meticulous and efficient.

Clients with shorter lashes told us they were surprised by how much longer and fuller their lashes looked after the treatment. After looking at the before-and-after photos around the spa, we could see why everyone was so impressed.

But if you’re planning a visit, arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment to fill out the paperwork. The spa also requires a credit card to secure your booking.

While this is pretty standard these days, some commented that they weren’t completely comfortable with having their card on file. In our view, offering alternative booking options could make the process more customer-friendly.

5. The Beauty Club Bishopdale

The Beauty Club’s lash lift service got on our radar for both the results and the price tag. At just $55 for a basic lift—or $65 if you add a tint for extra definition—it’s easily one of the most wallet-friendly lash treatments we’ve found in town.

We like how they use a gentle lifting solution with a silicone rod to carefully curl your natural lashes upward from the root. After shaping them, they apply a setting solution that locks in that gorgeous curl. 

For regulars with naturally straight lashes that point downward, the difference was night and day. In all the before-and-after photos we saw, we loved how their lashes were dark and defined—the tint definitely makes a difference.

That said, if you’re starting with very short or sparse lashes, the lift might not give you that dramatic “falsies” look you might be hoping for. 

Still, the results last several weeks, which means less time fussing with mascara and lash curlers each morning. For someone always running late, that extra five minutes back in the day is helpful.
