When we checked out Look Sharp, we were blown away by their selection—over 3,000 products! It’s much more than just party supplies; they offer a wide range of housewares, gift items, and even electronics. 

Their themed decorations and costumes also caught our eye because of their variety.

But what we loved most were the prices. We were able to grab a bunch of stuff without feeling like I was spending too much, which is always a win.

One thing we did notice, though, is that the store can feel a bit cramped. There’s so much packed into the space that it can be hard to navigate at times.

We only visited one location, but they’ve got other spots around Auckland. There’s one in Lunn Ave and in the CBD, so you’ve got options!

My team and I recently discovered The Party Room, and even though they mainly operate as an online party supplies store, we had a fantastic experience! 

Their themed collections make it super easy to find exactly what you need for any occasion—way less overwhelming than other stores.

We really loved their commitment to sustainability, focusing on eco-friendly products and packaging. We definitely partied without worrying about the planet. 

The customer service was awesome, too! The team offered great styling advice and made us feel like we were getting a personalized touch, which is rare with larger retailers.

We also really appreciate that they offer local pickup from their warehouse in Avondale, which is super convenient for those who can’t wait for their orders to be shipped. This is especially important since some folks experienced shipping delays.

If you’re planning a kids’ party, you have to stop by! They have the cutest cake stands, mini milk bottles, and adorable lolly jars. They’re perfect for creating a fun, themed vibe that kids just love.

What really stood out was how Pop Roc Parties encourages customers to get creative with the planning. Many customers said they found themselves mixing and matching supplies to customize everything to match the party’s style.

4. Geoff’s Emporium

If you’re looking for a place with a wide variety of party decor and costumes, Geoff’s Emporium has you covered! When we swung by, we couldn’t help but check out the awesome wigs and tiaras that would totally add a fun touch to any party.

When it comes to decorations, the options are endless. We found all sorts of balloons and fun disposable tableware that could really jazz up any gathering. And don’t even get me started on their unique party favors—perfect little goodies for your guests to remember the day by!

The staff were super quick to assist us, too! It felt like they really knew the store like the back of their hand, guiding us right to what we were looking for.

Now, we do have to mention that the store has this “warehouse-like” vibe that some might find a bit dark and uninviting. It’s not the cheeriest atmosphere, and we can see how it might turn some people off.

But the prices are super competitive, so we think it’s still worth visiting!

We also checked out Spotlight Sylvia Park, and one of the best parts is their commitment to keeping prices low. They promise the lowest prices around, which is perfect if you’re on a budget. 

The quality of their products stood out to us too. You can tell that their decorations and tableware are made from reliable materials. 

Their selection is impressive. They’ve got all kinds of decorations—banners, streamers, centerpieces.

One of my teammates totally hit the jackpot in the tableware section. They had a massive selection of disposable and reusable options, all in different colors and styles. 

And don’t even get us started on the helium balloon counter! It was such a smart addition. You can easily pick out a bunch of colorful balloons in no time and add festive touch to your plans.

But here’s the thing: the place can get a bit busy. We noticed some customers were frustrated because it was tough to find staff to help out.
