How do I get a Whānau Card?
To get a Whānau Card, you need to visit the Te Puia Visitor Centre and show proof of your New Zealand residency.

- Head to the Te Puia Visitor Center.
- Approach the staff at the Visitor Center and express your interest in applying for a Whānau Card. They are there to assist you every step of the way.
- Receive an application form from the staff. Take a moment to carefully fill in your details, ensuring accuracy.
- Along with the application form, you’ll need to provide proof of your New Zealand residency. This can be in the form of an official document, so make sure to carry it with you.
- To process your Whānau Card, a nominal $10 administration fee is required. This fee covers the essential processing costs, ensuring your card is ready for use.
- After completing the application form and paying the administration fee, the staff will process your request. Soon enough, your very own Whānau Card will be handed over to you.
To claim your free entry to Te Puia with your Whānau Card, simply show your card to the staff at the Visitor Center. You will need to present your card each time you visit Te Puia.
