Breaking Down the Cost of Painting Company Offerings

Painting

Most folks that seek out the services of a painting company do so to have their home or commercial building painted.  The exact cost of this particular service will usually depend on the amount of area that needs to be painted.

Other factors can come into play such as the specific paint being used and the tools required, but the overall area is often the biggest thing to keep in mind.  It’s worth noting that larger surface areas tend to come with cheaper per square meter fees for fairer pricing.

On average, most kiwis will spend between $250 and $400 per day on painting.  To make things a bit easier, we’ve also compiled some price estimates for homes of varying sizes:

Staining

Staining services involve cleaning and refinishing wooden structures and furniture that have suffered sun bleaching and water stains.  As is the case with painting, the cost of staining services depends largely on the area that needs to be covered.

From what we can gather the average cost of staining a deck or patio is between $10 and $15 per sqm.  Now, given other factors such as labor requirements and time, this cost can rise or fall by a few hundred dollars.

Because of this, it is not uncommon for a deck with an area of 100 sqm to carry a staining cost of roughly $2000.

Drywall Repair

Since some workspaces will require considerable preparation, most painting companies also offer some type of drywall repair service.  The average cost of drywall repairs is usually between $35 to $55 per sqm with labor-intensive jobs residing on the higher end of the cost spectrum.
